For those looking for a wide-open, high-scoring affair, maybe Eli Manning and RG3 will answer the call on Monday Night Football.

But No. 2 UConn and ninth-ranked Maryland haven't been lighting it up in the Jimmy V Classic at the XL Center Monday night. Breanna Stewart has nine points as the Huskies have slogged their way to a 33-20 lead over the Terrapins at halftime.

UConn has not trailed, scoring the game's first six points en route to a 13-4 lead. Maryland pulled back within two on a Tianna Hawkins hoop before the Huskies regained command. Stewart scored the first seven points and Kaleena Mosqueda-Lewis' 3-pointer capped a 10-0 run that made it 27-15. Two baskets by Kelly Faris closed the period and gave the Huskies their biggest lead.

Dolson has eight points, Mosqueda-Lewis seven, and Faris six for UConn. Hawkins has eight and Katie Rutan six off the bench for Maryland. The Terrapins have 18 turnovers. Maryland All-American Alyssa Thomas has no points (0-for-5 from the floor) and six turnovers while being blanketed by Faris.
