UConn picked up its fourth commit and added another wide receiver to the class in Quayvon Skanes of Chicago,
Skanes is a 5-9, 156 pound dynamic receiver who will be a slot receiver in Storrs. He committed to UConn over Northwestern and many others and had 15 offers in hand.
The Huskies went big at wide receiver last year, and now they are going for speed too. He joins Glastonbury's Kevin Dixon as WRs in the class.
Dixon is the bigger target and a potential downfield threat while Skanes is a slot receiver and an excellent athlete and can make others miss in space.
This is also the second time the Huskies went to Chicago to get a player with highly-regarded Aaron Garland committing to the Huskies last year.
That's four commits, and with a small class, there may be 9 or 10 left. UConn hasn't typically recruited Chicago in the past, but with Bob Diaco's Notre Dame pedigree and the large Midwest experience from the coaching staff it has become a place the Huskies want to mine.
