HARTFORD, Conn. -- UConn sophomore forward Kentan Facey will not dress for the American Athletic Conference quarterfinal tonight against USF due to a concussion suffered in practice.
Facey has started 20 games for the Huskies and has struggled as of late. He is averaging 4.5 points per game and 5.3 rebounds. He played a season-low six minutes in a loss to Temple last week.
Facey's absence leads the Huskies woefully thin in the front-court. Amida Brimah and Phil Nolan are the two main stays with Rakim Lubin -- himself recovering from a concussion -- available. Lubin has not played the last four games and has logged 14 total minutes in the last 10 games.
The Huskies figure to go with Daniel Hamilton at power forward for much of the game as the Huskies will go small.
