Here's the AP story on the game.
In the battle of Shabazz Napier vs. Sean Kilpatrick, Napier scored 15 points while Kilpatrick had 14.
Kilpatrick had a chance to tie the game in the final seconds after Shabazz Napier missed a free throw, but his left handed layup after a terrific move to free up the shooting hand rolled off the rim securing UConn a spot in the final
It was another defensive war for the Huskies, who had to battle back against Cincinnati. Ryan Boatright had 13 for the Huskies.
UConn has won two straight in the American, seems to have Niels Giffey shooting well, but will face a formidable task today at 6 p.m. against the hottest team in the country in Louisville.
A week ago, Louisville hammered UConn by 33. The Cardinals won by 61 on Thursday and beat Houston by 29 on Friday and look on a mission for a one seed.
UConn likely secured a top 5 seed in the NCAAs with the win. If it can knock off Louisville, a four seed isn't out of the question.
