The Huskies added another quarterback recruit on Sunday with Xavier-Middletown QB Tim Boyle committing to the Huskies.

The Hartford Courant first reported the news.

Boyle told the Courant that the coaching change at Boston College, where he already committed, was the main factor in his decision.

New BC coach Steve Addazio favors dual threat QBs, while Boyle is a classic pro-style passer.

Boyle is the second quarterback committed to UConn with 6-6 Plano, Texas QB Richard Lagow also planning on signing on Wednesday for signing day. Boyle is 6-5.

Lagow and Boyle are big strong-armed quarterbacks that fit well in a pro-style offense.

The Huskies also have Former New London star Casey Cochran coming off a redshirt year. The starter is rising junior Chandler Whitmer with Junior Scott McCummings also in the mix.

The Huskies lost two quarterbacks from last season when Michael Nebrich transferred to Fordham and in former walk-on turned starter in Johnny McEntee.
