McQuillan suffered a scary concussion in fall camp after he was hit high by corner Taylor Mack as his head was turned while catching a ball in the flat. McQuillan had to be taken by ambulance to a local hospital. Everything checked out and he was released that same day,
McQuillan was back at practice this week and passed all his tests.
That's the only notable injury for the Huskies besides the loss of Andrew Adams, who is out for at least eight weeks after shoulder surgery.
As far as the hit to McQuillan, upon review it would likely be deemed illegal according to Pasqualoni.
There is a new rule in college about helmet to helmet hits and hitting to the head. Players will be ejected and suspended for those kinds of hits this season and that does cause concern for Pasqualoni.
"It's going to be a big deal all over college football and we are expecting to work hard and do it the right way," Pasqualoni said. "I think until players realize they are suspended, I think there will be kids who will miss a games."
