Ollie will earn $3 million annually, according to the report.
Rumors were swirling that Ollie could jump to the NBA, as he was mentioned in nearly every vacant head coach position that opened up.
The Los Angeles Lakers, one of the teams possibly interested in Ollie, never made a formal offer to the coach (Wojnarowski, May 19).
Since wining the national title the NBA has been on the prowl for Kevin Ollie.

UConn's second-year head coach, with a national title in tow, had a lot of options and reports had NBA team interest such as the Laker, Cavaliers and even the Knicks. The longer UConn AD Warde Manuel and Ollie didn't have an extension, the more speculation about Ollie's future came.
Ollie's figure of $3 million anually -- if reports are correct -- will put him atop the American Athletic Conference and into the Top 10 in the country.
Here's the 2014 salary list per USA today. Duke's Mike Kryzewski is No. 1 at $9.6 million per year and Ollie would slide into No. 9 at $3 million per year, right behind Ohio State's Thad Motta and ahead of Memphis' Josh Pastner.
Ollie had signed a 5-year, $7.5 million deal in December of 2012. The contract was reopened -- per agreement -- 30 days after the completion of the season. Ollie made a little over $1.5 million this past season when bonuses for winning the NCAA title factored in.
