UConn pick up a major piece for the 2015 backcourt with reports that 6-foot-4 combo guard Prince Ali has committed to UConn.

Evan Daniels from Scout has the news.

Ali is a 6-foot-4 guard from The Sagemont School in Florida and is a top 100 recruit.

Ali chose the Huskies over Illinois, LSU, Georgia, Miami, Nebraska, Syracuse, USF, VCU, Vanderbilt, Washington and West Virginia.

The Huskies will have openings in the backcourt next year with Shabazz Napier leaving and possibly junior guard Ryan Boatright to the NBA Draft. The HUskies have Terrence Samuel, a freshman, and former McDonald's All-American Rodney Purvis -- a transfer from N.C. State sitting out the season -- in the backcourt along with SG Omar Calhoun.
