It was the 17th deficit in 29 games at the half for the Huskies. UConn is 6-11 when trailing at the half. The Pirates shot only 19.4 percent -- 6-of-31 -- in the second half. Ryan Boatright led the Huskies with 16 points, while Daniel Hamilton had nine points, 17 rebounds and five assists. The Huskies held ECU to 32.2 percent shooting overall overcoming offensive problems of their own. The game remains critical for the Huskies' NCAA hopes. There's still an outside shot an at-large bid, and the Huskies would like a first round bye in the American Athletic Conference tournament, which it needs by being top five in conference. The Huskies are 16-11, 9-5 in conference. Amida Brimah and Rodney Purvis each chipped in with 12 points. Marshall Guilmette led ECU with 13 points.
