Two more UConn players are headed to postseason All-Star games.

Linebacker Jory Johnson will play in  the Raycom College Football All-Star Classic on Jan. 19 while wide receiver Michael Smith wide receiver will play in the Texas vs. Nation All-Star game on Feb. 2.

Johnson, an outside linebacker that started all 12 games this season for the Huskies, will play in the Raycom College Football All-Star Classic at the Crampton Bowl in his home state in Montgomery, Ala.  The game is scheduled for 2:00 pm CT on Saturday, January 19 and will be broadcast live on the CBS Sports Network.


Johnson totaled 95 tackles, second on the team, including 37 solo in his final season for UConn.  He finished his career with 227 tackles and 20.5 for a loss in his career.

Smith played in all 12 games and made three starts at wide receiver.  He was third on the team with 31 receptions and second with 407 yards, averaging 13.1 yards per reception.  Smith made three catches for 30 yards in the season-opener against Massachusetts (Aug. 30).  He made a season-high five catches for 54 yards and scored his only touchdown of the season against Temple (Oct. 13).
