The UConn men's basketball team has lost F Tyler Polley for the rest of the season, as the university said he tore his ACL and meniscus in his left knee during practice on Friday.
A starter for the Huskies, Polley was coming off his best game of the season against Tulane, where he totaled a double-double with 19 points and 11 rebounds on 7-of-15 shooting.
Overall, Polley is averaging 9.5 points and 3.2 rebounds this season, while shooting 42 percent from the field.
Alterique Gilbert will likely take over for Polley in the starting rotation when they take on No. 23 Wichita State on Sunday at 12 p.m.
