Now Commenting On:

The UConn football team picked up its second commit of the season with Pennsylvania tight end Luke Carrezola announcing on twitter that he has picked UConn.

Carrezola is the second commit for the Huskies for next season, though there are prep school players and JUCO transfers that aren't accounted for that appear to headed to the Huskies.  St. Paul-Bristol (Conn.) quarterback Logan Marchi offered his commitment earlier this month.

Carrezola is 6-3, 243-pounds and appears to be a blocking tight end that the Huskies don't have much of. Carrezola is a blocking tight end and 2013 commit Jordan Fuchs, a receiving tight end out of NYC, is delaying admission until the spring and will be in prep school this fall. That would put UConn's tight end total to two for 2014 coming on the heels of adding Tommy Myers from Coventry and Quinn Thompson out of Pennsylvania to the mix this fall.

The Huskies go into this season with Sean McQuillan as the starter at tight end and no other players in the mix.
