The Huskies, who last played in MSG in the Elite 8 in 2014 against Michigan State, did not play in New York City for the first time in 30 years last year. That will chance as the Huskies will play Maryland at MSG on Dec. 8 in the Jimmy V Classic.
That's just part of UConn's non-conference schedule, which was released by the school on Tuesday.
The Huskies open the season Fri. Nov. 13 against Maine and also play Furman and New Hampshire at home before heading out to the Bahamas for the Battle 4 Atlantis.
UConn also has Ohio State and Georgetown at home in the non-conference schedule and are at Shaka Smart and Texas.
"We know the non-conference schedule we will face next season will be extremely challenging, but part of the reason our student-athletes come to UConn is to play top-level competition," UConn Coach Kevin Ollie said. "We think our non-conference schedule, combined with 18 tough league games, will best prepare us for postseason play."
Here's UConn's full non-conference schedule for 2015-2016.
