UConn senior running back Martin Hyppolite was hospitalized remains in serious but stable condition after a car crash on Saturday morning in Durham, N.H. that left one driver dead and another driver in critical condition.


According to a report by Seacoast Online, 74-year old Bruce Larsen of Durham, N.H.. was killed in a head-on collision when his 2000 Buick collided with a 2004 Chrysler driven by Ryan Marchant, 22 of Wakefield Mass. Hyppolite was a passenger of Marchant's. The police in Durham responded at approximately 8:59 a.m. on Saturday morning to the accident. Larsen was pronounced dead at the scene and Marchant was taken by helicopter to Beth Israel Hospital in Boston. Hyppolite, 22 of Walden, Mass., was taken by ambulance to  Portsmouth Regional Hospital and is in the intensive care unit and in stable condition.

UConn confirmed Hyppolite's involvement in the accident on Sunday and UConn trainer Bob Howard has spoken to the doctors caring for Hyppolite. His injuries are not considered life threatening.

Hyppolite, a senior running back, rushed for 69 yards last season including a 50-yard touchdown run  against Buffalo.
