UConn looks to make it two straight wins, as the Huskies travel to take on South Florida on Saturday night at 7 p.m.
The Huskies (3-3) overcame a slow start in last week's matchup against Cincinnati to come away with a 20-9 victory over the Bearcats. Arkeel Newsome led the way for UConn with 116 rushing yards, while QB Bryant Shirreffs threw for 224 yards and two touchdowns.
USF (5-1), which defeated UConn last year, is coming off a win against East Carolina and has gotten off to a 2-0 start in conference play. UConn's 11th-ranked rush defense will be tested by the Bulls, which have the 12-best rushing offense nationally.
First in the East Division in the American, USF can clinch bowl eligibility with a win Saturday.
