Alterique Gilbert's injury woes continue as UConn announced the redshirt sophomore point guard is dealing with a concussion and eye injury.
In Thursday's 78-71 loss to Temple, Gilbert left the game after colliding with a Temple player and stayed overnight at Hartford Hospital.
According to the school, Gilbert will not participate in basketball activities for "an indefinite period of time."
UConn has one regular season game remaining at ECU on Sunday before the conference tournament begins next weekend. Depending on the extent of the injuries, it's possible Gilbert misses the remainder of the season. The Huskies are already without Jalen Adams (knee) and Kassoum Yakwe (foot).
Injuries have plagued Gilbert throughout his time at UConn. He missed his first two seasons with shoulder injuries before sitting out five games this year with a less severe shoulder injury.
The Huskies went 1-4 in those games without Gilbert with the sole win coming against ECU.
