UConn head coach Geno Auriemma is not letting his team off the hook on this one.
Following a 65-55 win over Cincinnati on Saturday, the head coach of the No. 2 ranked women's team was not pleased with how his team played in victory, particularly with the offense.
SNY's Justine Ward asked Auriemma how he thought the offense looked in the second half.
"Lousy," he said. "We're just out of sync. I don't know how many layups we missed, how many wide open shots we missed, but we're just not in a really good place right now, offensively."
UConn entered the game coming off its second loss of the season, a 78-69 defeat from No. 3 Louisville, but were facing an opponent they beat by 44 points on Jan. 9.
"We won. Other than that there is nothing else to take away from it," Auriemma said. "Sometimes you have to win when it looks ugly, you have to win when you just don't play well, you have to win when no matter what you do, it just don't work, so you have to find out ways how to win."
