UConn led Iona by just one point at halftime on Wednesday night, but the Huskies dominated in the second half en route to an 80-62 victory over the Gaels.
Forward Josh Carlton led the way for the Huskies, finishing with 19 points, 12 rebounds, and four blocks.
After the game, Carlton, and UConn head coach Dan Hurley, spoke about the way he was able to play with force.
"Just using my size to my advantage, I think," Carlton told SNY. "I kind of got caught up in trying to play a finesse game in earlier games, so this game the coaches emphasized playing with force, so I just made sure I used my size advantage around the basket and finished around the rim."
"He was playing against a real dude out there. That guy [Tajaun] Agee can play in a lot of places," Hurley added. "He could play most places in the country, so he knew he had a big matchup, and that's what we're going to need from him. Not necessarily 19, 12, and four, but the force he played with, he was a man out there."
