The UConn Huskies rolled to a 74-31 win over the Tulane Green Wave on Wednesday night.
With the win, UConn secured at least a share of the AAC regular-season title, improving to 22-3 on the season.
After the game, head coach Geno Auriemma praised Megan Walker, who tied for the team lead with 18 points, but also played stellar defense throughout the game against Tulane leading scorer Krystal Freeman, who scored just seven points.
"Megan had a big challenge today, and she said 'I'm going to do a great job on this kid.' She told (assistant coach Jamelle Elliott) that. And she did," said Auriemma. "Any time you play great defensively, it probably carries over into your offense.
"The defense gets us rolling," said Walker. "We wanted to get out in transition and push the ball, so that helped us out a lot tonight."
