Under Tom Coughlin, the Giants have been world beaters during September and October and egg beaters in November and December. ?Since Coughlin took over as head coach of the Giants in 2004, the team has run up a ?47-17 record in the first half of seasons.

The second halves? Well, they are 24-33 in those games. Not very promising considering they have a hellish schedule ahead of them and they are already 0-1 after the bend.

Jeff from North Jersey: What will the Giants do with Brandon Jacobs after this season?

JF: Jacobs signed a four-year deal in 2009, so he is only in his third year of that deal. Depending on how he performs the rest of the way this season is how the Giants will respond. They already safeguarded themselves by restructuring that contract before the season, reducing his salary and making it more incentive-laden.
