Ben Simmons on returning to action: 'I'm going to go out there and play and let everyone else talk' | Nets News Conference
9/27/2022, 12:04 AM
In this Nets news conference, Ben Simmons talks about being physically and emotionally, being ready to return to the court. "I've been working on myself this past year to get back on the court and play at a high level." He says the narratives about who he is "are out of my control ... I'm going to go out there and play and let everyone else talk." Simmons feels the team has a lot of potential and he'll adjust his game to help the team win: "For me, I just want to impact the game in any way I can." He explained how the excruciating pain in his back prior to Game 4 of last year's playoffs against the Celtics prevented him from playing, and required necessary surgery. Simmons says maintenance of the injury will be an "everyday" task.
