Mets manager Carlos Mendoza says that Pete Alonso "doesn't get enough credit for his defense" after his leaping grab in the ninth inning preserved the Mets' 2-1 win. The manager was also impressed by the poise of David Peterson, who continued his All-Star caliber season.
