Islanders head coach Patrick Roy called it a "hard fought game" but his team came out on the short end of a shootout 2-1. The Isles remained winless in Nashville dating back to 2017. Despite the disappointment, Roy felt his team deserved a better fate, especially on a quick whistle in the third period that cost them a golden opportunity to break a 1-1 tie in regulation.
