Monday brings a look at the new Mets infield as Bo Bichette and Marcus Semien chat it up with Francisco Lindor. Not to be outdone, Luis Robert Jr. and Juan Soto work on their outfield play. Then it was time to swing the bats as Robert Jr., Tyrone Taylor and Carson Benge jumped  into the cage. Christian Scott took the mound for live BP and continued to impress in his return as Bichette, Soto and Mark Vientos came up empty against the big righty.

Mets right hander Christian Scott faced major league hitters in a live BP session for the first time since he arrived at camp and was lights out, tying up Juan Soto and Bo Bichette. He's pleased that his velocity has "come back nicely" and he appreciated the positive feedback he got from his teammates.

Mets owner Steve Cohen spoke to the media on Monday at spring training in Port St. Lucie, and discussed being “annoyed” that the team has not won enough since he bought the team, the new names the organization acquired, and saying goodbye to long-tenured Mets players in the offseason. Cohen also mentioned the energy around the team in camp, and announced that he will never name a captain as long as he owns the team.

On Sunday at Mets spring training in Port St. Lucie, Juan Soto arrived and took the field to begin his work to improve his defense, while Mark Vientos and Brett Baty continued to take grounders at various positions on the diamond.

While he's disappointed that teaming up with shortstop Francisco Lindor will be delayed, he feels there will be more than ample time to effectively communicate when Lindor returns.

Yankees captain Aaron Judge has no qualms about returning virtually the same team as last season when they were eliminated by Toronto in the postseason. He feels the veteran players that returned and the renewed presence of Gerrit Cole can help them change the end result. Judge also touched on the "excitement" of playing in WBC and representing the USA. He hasn't quite figured out how he will deal with automated balls and strikes system but will form a game plan once he starts seeing live pitching again.

On Sunday at Yankees spring training in Tampa, Aaron Judge put in work in the outfield and at the plate, Luis Gil threw a bullpen under the watchful eyes of manager Aaron Boone, and Max Fried threw live batting practice.

The Yankees welcomed Paul Goldschmidt back to the club and he jumped right into the fray, hitting a long drive during live BP. Yankees captain Aaron Judge as usual was the fan favorite and Carlos Rodon continues his comeback from elbow surgery.
