In a comical and somewhat insightful article in the Wall Street Journal, Aditi Kinkhabwala polled about two thirds of the Giants roster on pressing questions such as "who is coach Coughlin's favorite," and "who would do the best on 'Jeopardy?'" Following every Giants' game, The Wall Street Journal unveils its "Four Lessons Learned" piece. Here's one lesson learned about the Giants' defensive line:

When Giants' fans think about their team, a few images come immediately to mind ? peevish authoritarian coaches, generations of off-tackle running plays and, perhaps more than anything else, an aggressive, effective defensive line. The Giants? D-line looked very much like the Giants? D-line in their Week 4 Sunday Night Football Sack-tacular against the Bears, but their excellence against Houston was ? while notably subtler ? just as impressive. In place of all those dramatic sacks the line concentrated on locking down Houston?s dangerous Arian Foster ? who mustered just nine yards on eight carries in the first half and was essentially abandoned in the second. The defense also batted down four Matt Schaub passes before halftime. While it lacked the obvious wow factor of a pair of KO?ed Bears' quarterbacks and the double-digit sack total they tallied last week, the Giants? D-line shut down everything between the numbers for Houston ? and shut down the Texans? offense in the process.
