Redskins LB London Fletcher, the NFL?s active Iron Man, is playing in his 252nd consecutive regular season game. Fletcher is one of only four players in NFL history to reach 250 consecutive games played (Jeff Feagles, Brett Favre and Jim Marshall).

The Giants (4-7) travel down to the nation's capital to face the Redskins (3-8) in a battle between two of the more disappointing teams of 2013. The winner moves into third place. The loser drops into last.

Kickoff: 8:30pm Eastern

In reading the Redskins' media release, one would think this team was 8-3 instead of 3-8.

Their offense leads the league in rushing yards per attempt (4.9) and are second in the NFL third down conversions (70).

They rank second in the NFL in rushing yards per game (150.2) and also rank...

Fourth Quarter:

- Alfred Morris is running like a man possessed after his fumble in the redzone.

- Missed tackles by the defense and precise throws by RGIII are carving apart this Giants defense. The Redskins amke it look easy and capture the lead with their first drive of the 4th quarter.

Eli Manning

After a couple of down games, Manning has had back-to-back stellar fantasy outings. The Cowboys are actually pretty solid against QBs in terms of fantasy points allowed, but Manning is going to throw it a lot, and should put up some nice numbers once again. I expect a high scoring affair.

Matchup: 8/10

Tier One: The Packers

1. Packers (12-0) - The Giants gave them their toughest test, but 58 seconds is enough time for Aaron Rodgers to lead three scoring drives.

Twenty four hours after?what was possibly the best game of the 2011 NFL regular season, a gutsy loss by the Giants to the undefeated Green Bay Packers, here are some thoughts I had quarter by quarter while watching the game:

1st Quarter: Two big plays - the 67-yard touchdown pass?to Travis Beckum and 42-yard pass to Victor Cruz that set up a field goal to put the Giants ahead 10-7 -plus some strong running by Ahmad Bradshaw,?had me confident that Big Blue would hang in there with the defending champs. That's exactly what they did.

2nd Quarter: Obviously Eli Manning's interception that Clay Matthews returned for a touchdown was one of the biggest plays of the game. But Chase Blackburn's interception set up the Brandon Jacobs touchdown and a missed Packers' field goal following a Manning fumble sent the teams into halftime with Green Bay?leading 21-17.

Forget the two-minute drill. Even less than one minute was too much time to leave the great Aaron Rodgers, who threw four touchdown passes and led a game-winning drive in the final minute to lift the Green Bay Packers (12-0) to a thrilling 38-35 victory and hand the struggling New York Giants (6-6) their fourth straight defeat at MetLife Stadium on Sunday.

New York got off to a fast start and fought valiantly the rest of the way, but for two teams moving in opposite directions, the defending Super Bowl champion Packers were too much to overcome.

The Giants came to play tonight. That is what the fans who witnessed this game will remember.

The Giants (6-6) went blow-for-blow with the league's best team - the Green Bay Packers (12-0) - and lost on a FG as time expired, 38-35.

Outside of a victory, you couldn't have asked for anything more. This was a great game. Giant fans have nothing to be disappointed about tonight. Their team showed they were not about to quit on the fans, on Tom Coughlin or each other.

Inactive for the Giants today vs the Packers at MetLife:

DE Osi Umenyiora, LB Mark Herzlich, OL Stacy Andrews, DT Jimmy Kennedy, WR Mario Manningham, RB Da'Rel Scott, C David Baas

RB Ahmad Bradshaw and LB Michael Boley are both active today. Baas was a late scratch due to headaches.

Game day is here and so are the Packers. The 6-5 Giants are on the precipice of either another free fall out of contention or the slaying of another undefeated juggernaut. They have a history of doing both. ?This afternoon, those trends intersect.

The game will be broadcast on FOX, with their symbiotic duo of Joe Buck and Troy Aikman delivering the call. This could end up being either a sickening broadcast or an interesting one should the Giants stick it to the Packers. Either way, expect this to be a droolfest for Aikman because Aaron Rodgers is in the house. My suggestion: watch the game on mute and listen to the Bob Papa call on WFAN.

RB Ahmad Bradshaw, LB Michael Boley and WR Mario Manningham will all be game time decisions. Bradshaw and Boley have a much better shot at playing than Mario since they practiced this week.

Big game today and lots happening, but how many facts and figures can you read? Each Sunday we pick out some narratives from the net for your enjoyment during your morning constitutional....

You can safely say that WR Victor Cruz is having a breakout year. With five games left, Cruz is only 43 yards short of 1,000 receiving yards. Jeff Roberts of the Bergen Record reports:

The Paterson native is just 43 receiving yards from 1,000 for the season. And he is on pace to break the Giants record of 1,343 yards, set by Amani Toomer in 2002.

As the league enters Week 13, there are 17 teams either in or within one game of a playoff spot.

?We?re entering December with 11 wins and we?re right where we want to be,? says Green Bay quarterback Aaron Rodgers.

The Packers (11-0) and San Francisco 49ers (9-2) can clinch their divisions this weekend. But there is still plenty of football left to be played.

Tier 1: The Packers

1. Packers (11-0) - For any other quarterback, 22 of 33 for 307 yards with two touchdowns and no interceptions is a great game. For Aaron Rodgers, its an off day.

East Rutherford - The Giants were as close to dominant as possible today, handling the one-dimensional Washington Redskins by the score of 31-7 for their eighth win of the season.

Brandon Jacobs and Ahmad Bradshaw each scored twice on the ground and Bradshaw cracked the 1,000 yard rushing mark for the first time in his career.

Washington turned the ball over six times - four fumbles and two interceptions.

Here are?a few?random thoughts heading into today's Redskins-Giants game at the New Meadowlands Stadium.

- This is a must-win for the Giants. At 7-4, New York still has to play Washington twice, the Eagles, and?Minnesota and Green Bay on the road. The Giants trail the Eagles by a half game in the NFC East and there are six other teams with seven or more wins in the NFC.

- The Redskins are 5-6 and that about sums up who they are as a team: mediocre. They do have talent.?Washington has beaten?Philadelphia, Green Bay, Chicago, and Tennessee, but they've lost to Detroit, Minnesota, and St. Louis. Hard to figure out which team will show up week to week.

Every once in while we trade opinions with reporters and bloggers from other cities.? My man Rich Tandler, who covers the Washington Redskins for CSNWashington.com and RealRedskins.com was kind enough to send us his take on five questions we posed to him.....

GFB: This is Mike Shanahan's first season with the club - what were your expectations going into the season where has the team exceeded and fallen short thus far?

RT: The primary expectation was for Shanahan and new general manager Bruce Allen to turn the Redskins into some semblance of a real professional football organization. That primarily meant getting owner Dan Snyder out of football operations, both in terms of input into personnel decisions and when it came to Snyder taking complaints by star players to the coaching staff. So far, so good in that regard. Snyder is rarely in his office at Redskins Park and when he is players don?t come knocking on his door to air their grievances.

Average Ranking: 11.2

CBS Sports: 10 - That late-game drive against the Jaguars might have saved their season. That sure is a big victory for a team ripped by injuries.

ESPN: 10 - Down five offensive starters and top offensive line backup Shawn Andrews, the Giants stood tall with their victory over the Jaguars on Sunday.

Tier 1: Contenders

1. Falcons (9-2) - With a win over a very good Packers team, the Falcons have finally left no doubt that they should be the #1 ranked team in the NFC.

2. Saints (8-3) - They've now scored 30 points three games in a row and are somehow still flying under the radar.
