RHP Luis Cessa (0-0, 3.32,) who is being thrust into the starting assignment after scheduled starter Jonathan Loaisiga went on the injured list with a right rotator cuff strain. Cessa might not be able to pitch more than three innings, which is how long he lasted in relief of Loaisiga last Wednesday.
Who is starting for the Orioles?
RHP David Hess (1-4, 5.50 ERA), who has a 7.27 ERA over his last six starts. The Yankees have seen Hess twice this season. He pitched two scoreless innings out of the bullpen on March 28, and as a starter on April 7 he was tagged for four runs in five innings.
