It appears there is still some tension between Alex Rodriguez and Jason Varitek.
The former Red Sox catcher, who infamously brawled with Rodriguez in 2004, crossed paths with the former Yankees slugger on Sunday while celebrating Boston's World Series win over the Dodgers.
Varitek, who works as a special assistant to Red Sox GM Dave Dombrowksi, stopped by the Fox Sports postgame set to say hello to his former teammate, David Ortiz.

Rodriguez, seated next to Ortiz, tried to peacefully acknowledge Varitek.
"It was Varitek who tried to kill me on '04," he said. "What's up, brother?"
Varitek shook his hand and nodded, not saying a word, while Rodriguez turned back to the camera and gave an awkward "I don't know" shrug.
Fourteen years later and things are still tense. It's just part of the rivalry.
