Yankees manager Aaron Boone officially named Larry Rothschild the team's pitching coach, Josh Bard bench coach and Marcus Thames hitting coach for the 2018 season.
Rothschild, 63, has been the team's pitching coach since 2011 and is one of the holdovers from Joe Girardi's staff.
Bard served as the Dodgers' bullpen coach for the past two seasons and was one of Boone's teammates when the two played together with the Indians.
Thames was promoted from assistant hitting coach, a position in which he helped with video during games and worked with players at the batting cage beforehand. He has been with the Yankees organization since 2013, working his way up from High-A Tampa to the majors.
P.J. Pilittere, who spent last season as the hitting coach with Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre, will be the assistant hitting coach.
Boone also named Mike Harkey bullpen pitching coach, Phil Nevin third base coach, Reggie Willits first base coach and outfield instructor, Carlos Mendoza Major League quality control coach/infield instructor, Jason Brown catching coach, Radley Haddad coaching assistant/bullpen catcher and Brett Weber coaching assistant/instant replay coordinator.
