The Yankees (62-33, 8 GA in AL East) are hosting the Colorado Rockies (46-50, 16.5 GB in NL West) on Friday at 7:05 p.m. at Yankee Stadium.
Gio Urshela continues to make an impact in the Yankee lineup. His 3-for-4, three-RBI performance in Game 1 of Thursday's doubleheader was the catalyst for a Yankee win... Luke Voit supplied the power in Game 2, as the slugging first baseman launched his 18th homer of the season off of Rays pitcher Charlie Morton. Voit has already surpassed his previous career highs in home runs, RBIs and doubles... DJ LeMahieu will face the Rockies for the first time since joining the Yankees this season. The infielder, who spent seven seasons with Colorado, was a two-time All-Star, a three-time Gold Glove Award-winner and won the batting title in 2016. Aaron Boone will not be in the dugout tonight while he serves a one-game suspension following his ejection in Game 1 of Thursday's doubleheader.

Who is starting for the Yankees?
LHP J.A. Happ (7-5. 4.93 ERA), who returned from the All-Star break to fire 5.1 innings against the Blue Jays on July 13. He allowed two runs on five hits and struck out five, but was saddled with the loss. The 37 year old is in search of his first win since June 18, but has pitched well in his two July starts, giving up just three runs and eight hits in 10.2 innings pitched. He'll need to watch out for David Murphy, who has four hits and a home run in 10 at-bats against the left-hander.
Who is starting for the Rockies?
LHP Kyle Freeland (2-6, 7.39 ERA), who is making his second start since returning to the Rockies following a stint in Triple-A Albuquerque. Freeland has struggled mightily following a 2018 season in which he finished fourth in NL Cy Young voting, going 17-7 with a 2.85 ERA with 173 strikeouts in 202.1 innings. Freeland has yet to recapture that magic in 2019, however, and returned to the big leagues on July 13 with similar results to what he was producing before being optioned in May. He lasted just four innings against the Reds, yielding five runs on nine hits.
The Yankees and Rockies continue their three-game series on Saturday at 1:05 p.m. when Masahiro Tanaka (6-5, 3.81 ERA) takes the mound against Antonio Senzatela (8-6, 5.79 ERA)
