Who's pitching for the Yankees:
Luis Severino (2-2, 3.64 ERA) earned a no-decision against the Rays in his last outing. He allowed one earned run on five hits while striking out seven and walking five in five innings pitched. Severino seemed to have his control back after throwing all over the place in his previous start against the Astros where he only lasted 2 1/3 innings. He looks to secure his first win since April 26.
Who's pitching for the Royals:
Jason Hammel (1-5, 6.20 ERA) was rocked by the Yanks in his last outing, giving up five runs on nine hits including a three-run homer from Gary Sanchez and a two-run shot from Chris Carter in back-to-back innings. It was his second straight loss as he struggles to keep runners off the base paths.
