The Yankees remain the most valuable franchise in MLB, according to Forbes' latest valuations.
At $4.6 billion, the Yankees are worth $1.3 billion more than the second-most valuable team, the Dodgers. The valuation is up 15 percent from last year when the Yanks were worth $4 billion.
The Red Sox ($3.2 billion,) Cubs ($3.1 billion) and Giants ($3 billion) round out the top five, with the Mets next at $2.3 billion.
According to Forbes, the Yanks had $668 million in revenue last year with $29 million in operating income.
The Blue Jays are ranked No. 16 at $1.5 billion while the Orioles are 19th at $1.28 billion and the Rays are the second-least valuable franchise at $1.01 billion.
This is the 22nd year Forbes has released MLB valuations, and the Yankees have been the most valuable franchise every time.
