The Boston Red Sox have officially agreed to trade Mookie Betts and David Price to the Los Angeles Dodgers, ESPN's Jeff Passan reported Sunday evening.

Outfielder Alex Verdugo, shortstop Jeter Downs, and catching prospect Connor Wong will be sent to Boston in exchange for Betts, Price, and cash, per Passan.

The Dodgers will also trade pitcher Kenta Maeda and $10 million to the Minnesota Twins for pitcher Brusdar Graterol and the Twins' Comp B draft pick in 2020, according to Ken Rosenthal.

The Red Sox will reportedly pay half of the remaining $96 million remaining on Price's contract, making it $16 million per season over the next three years, Rosenthal said.

Betts and the Red Sox avoided arbitration earlier this offseason and agreed to a $27 million deal for 2020, but Boston was dead set on coming in under the luxury tax, leading to trading away their best player.

The delay in this massive trade, which the teams first agreed to on Feb. 4, was caused by health concerns with Graterol -- who underwent Tommy John surgery in 2016 and missed two months in 2019 with shoulder issues.
