As if this week could not get any worse for Yankees fans.
After being eliminated by the Red Sox in four games in the ALDS and having their AL East rival celebrate in their stadium, former Yankees slugger Alex Rodriguez had to appear in a Boston uniform during FS1's NLCS postgame show.
Rodriguez, who played for the Yankees from 2004-16, lost a bet with fellow postgame analyst and Red Sox great David Ortiz and was forced to not only don the Red Sox uniform but also receive a champagne shower from Big Papi himself.
Of course, Rodriguez was nearly traded to the Red Sox before the 2004 season, so the sight of seeing him in the red and white uniform raises the question of what could have been.
But, alas, Rodriguez revealed where his true loyalties lie.
Before Ortiz could douse him with champagne, Rodriguez ripped open his jersey to reveal a Yankees shirt underneath and managed to switch his Boston cap for a New York one to remind everyone he is still a Yankee at heart.
