Despite annihilating most of their competition, the Yankees still have only the third-best odds to win the World Series, per Bovada.
Aside from the Dodgers, the Astros -- who traded for Zack Greinke on July 31 to add another ace to their starting rotation -- are also ahead of the Yanks.
In the odds released on Aug. 6, the Astros had the best odds at +230, followed by the Dodgers (+285) and Yankees (+450).
In the odds released Wednesday, the same order is in effect. with the Astros at +225, the Dodgers at +275, and the Yanks at +400.

When it comes to the AL East, the Red Sox have fallen off the map (at 17.5 igames back) and the Rays are 9.0 games back.
If the season ended Wednesday, the Yanks (with the best record in the AL) would face the winner of the Wild Card game in the ALDS. The Indians and Rays currently hold the two Wild Card spots.
