As the 2019 season delves deeper into August, the Yankees continue to exhaust all options on pitching.
The latest move occurred on Wednesday when they claimed Ryan Dull off waivers from the San Francisco Giants and added the right-handed reliever to their 40-man roster.
To create room, the Yankees designated righthander Brady Lail for assignment.
Dull, 29, joins the Yankees with his latest experience on the bump coming June 8 as an Oakland Athletic. With the Athletics, he logged nine innings in seven appearances, sporting a 12.00 earned-run average and eight strikeouts to four walks.
Lail, 26, made his major-league debut Monday in the Yankees' 11-8 win over the Baltimore Orioles when he yielded three runs (all earned) and scattered two hits with two strikeouts to one walk in 2 2/3 innings pitched.
