Friday is the deadline for teams to exchange numbers with players who are arbitration-eligible. If a deal is not agreed upon they must schedule a hearing next month in front of a panel of arbitrators to determine that player's salary for the 2019 season.

Teams that do not reach deals could still negotiate up until the hearing date on a one-year contract or multi-year extension.

The Yankees have avoided arbitration with everyone but RHP Luis Severino, who will now going into an arbitration hearing in a few weeks. Every player the Yankees reached a deal with for next season includes, RHP Dellin Betances, C Austin Romine, SS Didi Gregoriuis, RHP Tommy Kahnle, OF Aaron Hicks, LHP James Paxton, 1B Greg Bird, and RHP Sonny Gray.

According to WFAN's Sweeny Murti, the Yankees and Dellin Betances reached a one-year, $7.25 million agreement to avoid arbitration.

The Yankees and Luis Severino were unable to come to terms with a contract and will now head to arbitration hearing, according to ESPN's Jeff Passan. The right-hander made $604,975 last year and was projected at $5.1 million in arbitration. However, Severino is in his first year of arbitration, and his struggles in the latter half of the season may have potentially hurt his value.

Per Nightengale, the Yankees and Austin Romine have settled on a $1.8 million deal.

USA Today's Bob Nightengale reports the Yankees and Greg Bird have avoided arbitration and agreed to a one-year, $1.2 million deal.
