Yankees RHP Dellin Betances on Saturday became the first pitcher in Major League history to strike out at least 100 batters as a reliever in five straight seasons.

Betances struck out Jeimer Candelario, the first batter he faced, before working around a single to complete the inning unscathed and earn his second save of the season.

The 30-year-old Betances rebounded from a rough outing on Thursday when he allowed two home runs in one inning.

Betances struck out a career-high 135 batters in 2014, 131 batters in 2015, 126 batters in 2016, and 100 batters last season.
