The Yankees have recalled RHP Conor Mullee from Triple-A, and have optioned RHP Kirby Yates to Scranton/Wilkes-Barre, the team announced on Tuesday.
Mullee was 4-0 with a 0.52 ERA in 34.1 innings for Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre. Mullee appeared in 23 games, all in relief, and surrendered only two earned runs while striking out 45 batters.
The 28-year old appeared in only one game for the Yankees this season, allowing one earned run on zero hits and three walks in one inning.
Yates had a 5.72 ERA in 30 games for the Yankees this season, giving up 18 earned runs in 28.1 innings.
