CC Sabathia will be busy both on and off the field during his final MLB season.
ESPN announced Tuesday morning that the longtime Yankee, who announced last month he's retiring at the end of 2019, has joined the company as a contributor. He will begin his role later this month, getting a head start on his post-playing career.
Sabathia will be seen on SportsCenter, Get Up!, First Take, Golic & Wingo and Baseball Tonight, and he'll also appear on the Humpty & Canty show on ESPN Radio in New York.
"As I begin to look toward the future, I'm excited to have this opportunity with ESPN," Sabathia said in a press release. "With that said, my singular focus is on winning another World Series Championship for Yankees fans and the city of New York."
