There is more good news coming for the rehabilitation of C Gary Sanchez's strained right groin. He has been sidelined since June 25th.
According to Bryan Hoch, Sanchez is planning on taking batting practice with the team tomorrow in Baltimore. Manager Aaron Boone also mentioned that his injured catcher could start his rehab assignment by the end of the Cleveland series.
This is another step in the right direction for Sanchez after his progression on Saturday where he took batting practice as well as catching a bullpen session for RHP Masahiro Tanaka.
The catcher had been going through a rough season before being sent to the DL a few weeks ago. He had a batting line of .190/.291/.433 with 14 home runs and 41 RBIs in 63 games.
