Miguel Andujar is going to test out his shoulder on Wednesday.
The Yankees third baseman told reporters before Tuesday's game against the Astros that he plans to throw for the first time since being placed on the 10-day injured list with a small shoulder tear.
Andujar said he has been feeling better and is excited to test it out and see where things stand.
He was also holding a bat in the dugout, but said he is still not allowed to swing and only had it because he missed holding it.
Andujar, who was the runner-up in the AL Rookie of the Year race last season, was placed on the IL on April 1 after the Yankees' first series against the Orioles.
He has been replaced by a combination of DJ LeMahieu and Gio Urshela at third base.
