After making his major league debut this past weekend, the Yankees sent RHP Chance Adams back down to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre after Wednesday night's win over the White Sox.
Adams, who is the Yankees' No. 13 ranked prospect according to MLB.com, made a spot start in place of J.A. Happ. The righty lasted five innings, allowing three runs on three hits including two homers while striking out two and walking one.
In Triple-A this season, Adams owns a 4.50 ERA over 21 starts (98 innings).
Happ coming off the DL for his schedule Thursday start is who will likely take Adams' spot on the 25-man roster.
