Yankees pitching coach Larry Rothschild will return to the team for the 2018 season, per the Daily News' Mike Mazzeo.
Rothschild is the only coach on Joe Girardi's staff last season to be retained so far. Bench coach Rob Thomson was interviewed for the vacant manager position.
Rothschild has been the Yankees' pitching coach since the 2011 season. He has been vital in figuring out the team's young pitching like Luis Severino, who had a breakout season in 2017 after imploding the season prior.
As a whole, the Yankees' pitching staff finished fifth in the league with a 3.72 ERA.
