Luke Voit and Tyler Wade combined to go 5-for-6 with five RBIs as the Yankees beat the Tampa Bay Rays on Sunday at Charlotte Sports Park.
Things to know about Sunday's game
1. Voit hit an RBI single in the first inning and a three-run homer in the fourth that gave New York a 6-0 lead. Wade went 3-for-3 with two doubles.
2. Jonathan Loaisiga threw two hitless innings, while David Hale struck out three betters in two scoreless innings.
3. DJ LeMahieu singled for his first hit of spring training and Matt Lipka went 1-for-2 with a two-run home run for the Yankees, who are now 1-1 in Grapefruit League play.
4. Tyler Glasnow allowed two runs and three hits in 1 2/3 innings for the Rays.
