The Yankees hit two home runs in their 4-1 win over the Rangers on Wednesday night at Yankee Stadium. >> Box Score

Four takeaways from Wednesday's game

1) The Yankees jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the bottom of the third inning, thanks to a two-run blast from Aaron Judge. It was Judge's 20th home run of the season and brought his RBI total to 45 on the year. The team then extended their lead to 3-0 when Gelyber Torres hit his 34th home run of the season in the bottom of the fourth inning.

2) Chad Green did well in his 2.0 innings of work as the opener, allowing just two hits while striking out four and walking one. Luis Cessa then picked up where Green left off, and threw 3.0 shutout innings. He struck out three batters while allowing just two hits.

3) Catcher Austin Romine hit his ninth double of the season to give the Yanks a 4-0 lead in the bottom of the sixth inning. Brett Gardner then reached first base on a force out at second, but Judge struck out to end the inning -- leaving both Gardner and Romine stranded on the bases.

4) Relief pitcher Tommy Kahnle did great in his one inning of work, as the righty struck out three batters and allowed just one hit in the seventh inning.
