Yankees SS Didi Gregorius had to leave Sunday's game against the Blue Jays early after a collision with 1B Kendrys Morales.
In the first inning, Gregorius tried beating out a grounder, and while he made it to first, his body paid for it in return. Gregorius would see Yankees' trainers attending to him after the play, and he would initially stay in the game.
However, the pain must have not been too easy to ignore as Ronald Torreyes took his spot at short in the top of the third.
It appears that it is Gregorius' heel that was bothering him, as Newsday's Steven Marcus says the veteran shortsotp will have imaging done on his left heel.
With Aaron Judge and Gary Sanchez already on the DL, the last thing the Yankees need is for Gregorius to join them. Since the All-Star break, Gregorius is hitting .286/.350/.505 with five homers and 21 RBI.
