The Giants addressed their offensive line in Round 1 with the selection of Justin Pugh, the offensive tackle who will likely slide in opposite of Will Beatty Week 1.

Though protecting Eli Manning and creating gaps for David Wilson to burst through was a premier concern, the Giants still need to address areas of need along the roster.

The Giants next pick 17th in the second round (49th overall). One name rumored to be a fit is Kevin Minter, the inside linebacker out of LSU.

In Todd McShay's most recent mock draft, ESPN's draft expert projects the New York Giants to spend the No. 19 selection on Notre Dame tight end Tyler Eifert.

However, a new tight end is creating a buzz in free agency.

Jared Cook, formerly of the Tennessee Titans, is emerging as one of the hottest commodities at the tight end position on the free-agent market. In this video posted on the Philadelphia Eagles website, NFL Films guru Greg Cosell compares Cook to former All-Pro Shannon Sharpe.

In ESPN draft expert Todd McShay's newest mock draft, the Giants are projected to nab Notre Dame tight end Tyler Eifert.

The Fighting Irish have produced some of the better NFL-caliber tight ends in recent years, including Kyle Rudolph of the Minnesota Vikings, as well Anthony Fasano of the Miami Dolphins and John Carlson, also with the Vikings.

The Giants' tight end situation is a bit?murky?with Martellus Bennett a free agent this off-season.

The majority of the post-NFL Scouting Combine mock drafts, prognosticators believe the New York Giants will add an offensive player with the 19th pick in the first round.

Of the five most recently updated mocks, three project New York to draft an offensive tackle. Both NFL.com's Bucky Brooks and CBS Sports' Will Brinson predict former Alabama tackle D.J. Fluker will be a member of Big Blue at the end of April.

Tony Pauline of USA Today Sports went down a similar path, though instead of Fluker he expects the Giants to bolster the offensive line with one of the combine's most impressive athletes, Lane Johnson of Oklahoma.
