With the Jets at 0-7 and the trade deadline rapidly approaching, there are a bunch of different ways they can go when it comes to amassing assets to set themselves up to turn things around in 2021 and beyond.

One of the players who could potentially bring the most value back via trade is DL Quinnen Williams.

He might be the most marketable player on the roster right now, and he certainly has drawn some interest from around the league, according to NFL sources. But one source made it clear that the Jets are not actively shopping the 22-year-old. They’re just willing to listen to offers, which is an important semantic difference.

Regardless, the feeling outside the Jets organization is that Douglas does not want to move Williams, even though he hasn’t been the dominant player everyone expected when former Jets GM Mike Maccagnan drafted him third overall in 2019.

Would they deal him? Probably, if the price was right. It’s unclear how high that price would be, though. A first-round pick might get Douglas’ attention.
