Giants 2025 NFL Mock Draft Roundup: Experts remain torn on what NY will do with No. 3 pick

QBs Cam Ward and Shedeur Sanders among popular choices

The Giants enter the 2025 NFL Draft with the third overall pick.

After a 3-14 season, how will New York use its first-round selection?

Here's what the experts have the Giants doing...

Kyle Stackpole, CBS Sports

QB Cam Ward, Miami

No. 1 pick via trade with Tennessee Titans

The Giants were one of the teams interested in Matthew Stafford before he and the Rams decided not to part ways. They're also reportedly interested in Aaron Rodgers, who has made multiple calls to the team. But in this mock draft, New York turns its attention to the draft. And with general manager Joe Schoen and head coach Brian Daboll badly needing to produce a successful season, they can't afford to miss. That's why they leave nothing to chance, moving up two spots and getting the quarterback they want, which in this case is Cam Ward.

QB Shedeur Sanders, Colorado

The Giants are desperate for a quarterback, and Sanders is the best one on the board. He is college football’s all-time completion percentage leader, boosting a Giants team that placed 29th in that category last season. His ability to accurately throw the ball to Malik Nabers becomes the foundation of New York’s offense.

CB/WR Travis Hunter, Colorado

The Giants also need a quarterback, but Hunter is the best prospect in the draft and one of the most exciting playmakers of the 21st century. He may already be an All-Pro caliber player. If New York’s quarterback situation doesn’t improve in 2025, Texas’ Arch Manning and Penn State’s Drew Allar will be waiting in 2026.

QB Shedeur Sanders, Colorado

There is not a quarterback more prepared to deal with the bright lights and intense spotlight that comes with being the Giants’ QB1. Sanders’ experience directing a pro-style system could help Brian Daboll jump-start the offense with a rookie starter.

CB/WR Travis Hunter, Colorado

The Giants land arguably the best player in the entire draft here. Hunter’s best NFL position is probably cornerback, but he has enough skills as a wide receiver to start there as well and at the very least, take a few reps on offense in each game. In a world where the Giants pass on a quarterback, Hunter would make a lot of sense.

Vinnie Iyer, The Sporting News

QB Cam Ward, Miami

The Giants are in the market for a new franchise QB after moving on from Daniel Jones. Ward's arm and athleticism are a good fit to have an immediate, Jayden Daniels-like impact for Brian Daboll and Mike Kafka.

Jason McIntyre, FOX Sports

EDGE Abdul Carter, Penn State

The Giants are desperate for a QB, either in the draft or in free agency in March. Would not be surprised if they landed Aaron Rodgers and then selected Carter, the best pass-rusher in the draft. They would contend for a wild-card berth, if Rodgers can stay healthy.
